Ok so some of you know about the buy of the ciocc.

I have (finally) been spending some time enjoying riding a bike with carbon fibre and campy bits and pieces.

The handle bar is a Selcof 400mm and the stem a Gass Homer (120mm).

Are these good makes? How much do they sell for? If I want to replace them (would like wider handlebars and shorter stem) what products are of similar quality?

I ride with FSA bars and stem. Very nice components and don't cost an arm and a leg

The FSA stem i just bought cost me at least an arm, but i just had to have it.

Not really, surprisingly the Cycle Lab price was cheaper than i could get it from overseas. I went for the carbon OS-99, which was a rather impulsive/expensive thing to do.

Back to you Slowbee, if you are comfortable on your bike with your current setup there is not much reason to change, unless you are a fool like me and buy something because it looks really bling.

hi guys, problem is the bars are 400mm, and I want to change to 450mm as this was the size on the previous bike and I liked that fit.

I also want a shorter stem.

I have spoken to the orginal seller of the bike who is wanting to know my budget. So in effect a "swop out" would be the best.

How much does a selcof handle bar go for?

Go left, I looked closer at the stem - fine print says R&D by Gube

I dunno your physique but 400mm is normally to narrow for a guy (unless you got very narrow shoulders). and the stem, depedning on the TT length of course, is also quite long.

for both items go and get a cheap aluminium item and do something useful with the big bucks you save!

BBB, is a brand of bike goodies.
