I for one think Burry can hack it give Sauer and the frenchie a surprise...

Don't write Ramaala off for medal shot. The guy has class and experience and, most importantly now, underdog status... Thugwane qualified with a 2:16 marathon time in 1996, if I remember correctly.

Burry's sponsors should employ a PR company to get him more local media coverage. Would help them leverage their sponsorship dosh too. Oh wait, Mr Price does have a PR company for their sports stuff, they just don't know anything about mountain biking...

Burry should probably finish top ten if nothing goes wrong. I don't know if he has the legs to beat the Swiss guys when he is on his own like this. Vogel, Shurter and Sauser should be formidable. Peraud and defending champ Absalon should also be too strong as a French connection. I will be rooting for Burry but I fear it is a brigde too far.

Just to clear it up; I also think that Mtb gets way too little exposure - if you think of how many people are actually actively involved in the sport in this country. Maybe some people in the know should write to News24 instead of complaining about it in Forums which they obviously don't read.

Just to clear it up; I also think that Mtb gets way too little exposure - if you think of how many people are actually actively involved in the sport in this country. Maybe some people in the know should write to News24 instead of complaining about it in Forums which they obviously don't read. ?

 

 

 

 

yeah, mtbiking gets so little exposure, they didnt even broadcast the women's xc this morning!! i mean srely it deserves more coverage than the tabletennis we have been seeing every single day for at least 2 hours!!

The reason they didn't broadcast was because it was postponed to tomorrow because of a wet track and dangerous conditions. 10:00 Beijing time so 02:00 our time. Don't know if it will be broadcast though.
