Your budget. Do you wanna go downhill 60km/h at night or just do normal training. Do a search for lights, there are plenty forums discussing this on the hub.

What is the main criteira I need to look for when choosing lights for night cycling ?

 

Getting the most light you can afford.

 

There is nothing better than a brighter light if you can afford it, however,

there is nothing cheaper than a down lighter and 12v battery. Both work fine.

You must be able to see as much as possible for as long as possible. Both comes at a price.
