Raleigh RM 7.0

I can get a 2008 Raleigh RM 7.0 frame (large) for R 2200 from a friend.  Brand new.  My friend bought the bike for the components.

 

Is it a good price....and is it a good frame.  How strong is the rear carbon tail.

Anybody with bad experiences with this frame.

 

Raleigh told me only a 4 year warranty on this frame...should I read something in this?

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the frame, but I would be hesitant to suggest that R2 200 is a good price.

The reason why Raleigh only offers such a short warranty is because they recon people only ride a frame for 3-4 years before replacing it. I do not agree with this statement.

 

If they are willing to continue the warrantee, seeing that it will be a second hand frame, then I do not see a problem with it. On the price I cna not comment either.

 

THere is a M Felt in the classifieds for 1700 neg. if the L is not right for you.
