to make my evening ... just went and broke the polar !!!

One of the little plastic things that sticks out, next to the battery cover. It makes sure it clips into ther craddle correctly!!! Tried to find the tiny little plastic bit, to be able to glue it on .. but no can find....blinken typical.

Well it still fits with 2 plastic thingies ...wobbles a bit, but will just have to do and I hope it doesnt come off while I am speeding downhill at about 20km an hour. (I wont know how fast I am going if it falls off going down some bumpy tar road).

Just use 2054 for all your tyres SB, it ain't gonna make a difference, well it shouldn't.

My old Sigma BC 1200 cradle broke a while ago, I just nicked some epoxy and rebuilt it. Alternatively just stick some prestik in there.

thanks Racer X....

another qstn, off topic tho. Bought some chain lube over the weekend. The bloke said put it on every 60 - 70 km. Does this mean on longer rides you should take some lube with you ?

Depends how dry it is. I reckon so, yeah, just put some into a little bottle and shub it in your hydration pack/pocket. When its starts to make a nasty noise dribble some lube onto the chain.
