WTF? Lance to race for Astana in '09

Lance stopped cycling for the wrong reasons in my opinion. Sure he missed the family, but what I read between the lines at his gala dinner speach in Sandton, was that ever losing the TDF was not an option.

Why would you stop doing the thing you love most while you still have the physical capablities ?

 

It must be quite frustrating for the team leaders at Astana to think that they may all be relegated to super domestiques again, since LA has not been known for his Jens Voigt attitude !

I am a big Lance fan, I for one am chuffed he is back. Did not really have a favourite to support at the TDF since he left. Might just sign up to go watch next year. Glad I bought those Astana socks for my ironman ride this year. Time for a full kit upgrade
