It is much easier for your seconders to load a hardtail onto a bike rack than it is to load a dual suspension as a dual requires a fancy bracket to be able to fit onto most racks

?

you do know that i'm biting my tongue here?PinchLOL

Trust me Mandibles knows what she is talking about . AS the Team Manager of Team Have Beer she had to deal with the loading of bikes and K2's . And what she said is true , that is the only reason I have fixed my HT . Anyway in AR racing your bike gets to much abuse .

HR' date=' you won't have a repeat of my bike bracket performance at Crater Cruise again as I now have a fancy bike rack on which my bike can stand. No bracket necessary LOL

But then you don't have to carry a dual , it is designed to be ridden uphills .

Mine is designed to be ridden down hills. Wink

I gave up racing myself when I bought my dual as I couldn't bear to inflict abuse on my bike. The reason I said it is difficult for seconders is more from a time point of view as there is often very little time to load up all the kit and get to the next point.

(D-R, it's time for Team Have Beer to make their comeback)

It was posted today and not in August. Looks like a good bike for adventure racing. Give it a test ride and see if the size is correct.

Maintenance and whatever else is the same ! Trust me .

I've been riding dual suspensions for over 5 years now and I've only had a problem on one occasion so I tend to agree with D-R.

Ok I have definatly read the ad wrong I mean the ad only went on today so I dont expect much drop in price if there is any so at the total R 3800.00 is it worth it for this bike

this is a good deal.

check the chain and cassette for wear.

new ones will be in the order of R700.

spin the wheels to see if true and listen to hub for noise

wiggle the pedals up and down and look for excessive movement

all and all looks good
