Speaking of whichLOL

Dame Helen Mirren has been voted the dream holiday partner for men.

The 63-year-old actress beat off competition from younger stars including Britney Spears, Sienna Miller and glamour model Jordan to take the accolade.

Helen recently caused a stir while holidaying in Italy after being pictured on the beach wearing a skimpy red bikini.

She was later voted as having one of the sexiest celebrity stomachs in the world.

was these two bikes that my friend was interested in AngryAngry

OK , before you go and run sh*t out your mouth here maybe look at the facts 1st.

I for one do work and when I am with clients I cannot answer my phone, ask anyone who does PT and they will tell you its not to good during a session. My morning starts at 530am and I dont think phoning her then would be a very good idea. Then ontop of that I am off to the UK  for the MX Des Nations in a weeks time and have been runnning around organising my rider a bike and a track to train on while we are there before the event, medical aid, insurance etc. Then ontop of that Im in meetings about Financial Sponsorship for my MX team for 2009 and it isnt a 5min meeting to ask some Corporate company to cough up R1,5m so 4 guys can go race in 2009 and I can get a salary.

I have everytime I had mailed the lady to tell her exactly what is going on and I even mailed her from my one meeting yesterday telling her I was in 1 meeting!!

I also told her I would no matter what give her 1st option until she saw the bike and made her final mind up, to date I ahve had 7 PM's about the bike and the one guy said he will take it regardless of him seeing it and I said no there is a 1st option. BUt reading this may be the best option I have considering your attitude.

Cheers

the price is not a problem the problem is the lack of commitment by the seller's . The buyer has the money and was on the verge of buying a new bike for twice the price from a Bike shop and all I tried to do was to help them both the seller to sell and the buyer to save some money but it seems to have gone wrong and they keep her on a string . If you ant to sell your stuff dont play silly buggers go the extra mile and make a commitment or dont post your wares Angry

hagar....I'm not going to assume too much, but the seller of the 1st Anthem, jaguar, is a very good friend of mine and he happens to have outstanding ethics.

I'm trying to get hold of him but can't right now.

When I spoke to him yesterday he HAD a local buyer that he gave the bike to to try for two days. He was going to hold it because your friend told him she can only come to Hermanus on Sunday. Is that his fault...?!

He can't be expected to jump in his V6 bakkie and waste R750 on petrol driving to Cape Town after a maybe buyer.

As far as I'm concerned if the buyer is so interested she should make the effort to come see it.

Hagar.....i dont want to sound rude here, but are you honestly talking about me here?????

First of all - i dont have the money which is why im selling my bike. Yes.....selling my bike!!!! Its not a scam. Secondly - the bike i want to get is not from a bike shop! So please can you get you facts straight before pointing fingers.

My bike is currently with a potential buyer and has been the past few days. Im still waiting for them to make a decision. I have let Jenny know exactly what my situation is (still waiting to hear from the local buyer)

PS : Rad006........i dont think hes talking about me and my rims....

Another problem is the school kids that want everything their eyes see. But when it comes down to the cunch then they first have to ask for daddy's permission to buy or sell!!!Angry Speed Devil2008-09-11 06:46:06

I learnt my lesson the hard way a while back. Badly messed around by a buyer.

Since then all my sales have been first pay first served and have only met genuine people on the hub face to face or even pm'ing and post.

The Hub is still a great place to do bicycle business.Thumbs%20Up

why post a bike for sale if you have already given it to someone to try out for a few days ??? does not make sense if your bike is either for sale or not !!! neway was just trying to help and the lady is a keen buyer and wants a new bike and is prepared to pay your friends price without all the umms and ahhs. If it was me i would say you pay my petrol to cape town and i will deliver the bike . cape town to hermanus is 117 km 5km per litre r11 per litre would give you r257 to town and back r257 say r600 to deliver maybe another r150 for a lunch. yes r750 you r right i am sure she would have paid it with a smile .

A friend of ours knew someone that was interested. So, jaguar gave the bike to this friend to show to the potential buyer. She kept it for two days(she might still have it....I don't know) to see if she liked it or not.

This happenned AFTER he posted the ad. Is he supposed to remove the ad everytime someone shows interest....?

I had already posted my add before this person wanted to look at it.

Do you expect me to remove my add everytime someone wants to look at the bike?

As for the R750. I feel bad accepting that. This way if she comes to Hermanus - she can at least enjoy the day out, instead of paying for me to come down there on the weekend....... fair point?

Having said that - im more than willing to come down on Saturday if the petrol is paid for.....you can run it by Jenny. I just feel bad asking! If she offers - then i will make the trip earlier yes....
