North to South

[Speed Devil]

I want to start cycling to work, from Pretoria North to Centurion, but don't really want to go through the interchange by the fountains and the fountain circle by the R21 as it is rather dangerous to change lanes in peak hour traffic.

My only other choice is to go past the monument everytime.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what route I can take?

Maybe a MTB would be a better bet?

R21 is not that bad......as long as you stop at red lights.

 

Ride there LOTS!

Would be a good ride every day!  Loads of training!

I started using that route but leaves early enough for the traffic not to be a problem. In the afternoon leaving centurion at 5 the traffic is not too bad to feel uncomfortable

I work next to the Centurion Mall, so will come past Unitas Hospital down Botha Ave to the fountains and then have to go around the monument.

I think the R21 is a bit of a longer way around or what?

R21 definately longer i think.

I also go past Unitas and down Botha to the circle and then up George Storrar on my way to the east.
