Edge 705 not picking up cadence sensor

My edge 705 suddenly doesnt pick up the cadence sensor. I've replaced the battery. When i press the button on the cadence sensor, it flashes green then red. When i back pedal, it flashes red and when the wheel spins past it flashes green. However, +/-30 seconds after resetting the cadence, the green light STOPS flashing when the wheel comes past and ONLY the red light flashes when the pedal comes past. I've tried to "restart scan" on edge, but it doesnt pick up the sensor at all.

very strange and you say you have done a rescan and replaced the batteries on the cadence as well

sounds like the cadence sensor is dead. wierd

send it in i had the same problem on my 305's sensor all that is wrong is that a connection could have been damadged by transport or it just doesnt like you

replace the battery again or get a polar  no man only kidding it will teach you to go out riding and we all had to work
