Bike transporting?

Do any of the hubbers out there know of a cost effective way of transporting or couriering your precious to another destination? I'm in Cape Town and looking to do the 94.7. We might be either driving or taking the train, but don't want to risk putting it on the train itself and if we do drive there won't be place for any bikes. Is there a company that will be able to courier it through?

a good secondhand bike box with lotsa bubble wrap and then pm BMC fan he used a company that brought a bike from jhb for me no problems to CT.

nope dont know he did it as per kind favour to help with someone that we hubbers bought a bike for  see that is why he was blessed with good fortune from another hubber . THE WHEEL TURNS  as you sow so shall you reap !!!!

I made use of Elliots during this years ARGUS. Very professional and they transproted thousands of bikes both ways.

We used Redline's bicycle boxes for The Bull of Africa. Very impressed and the best thing was that all we had to remove was the front wheels whereas most teams had to virtually dismantle their bikes.
