GIRR Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I replaced my last pair of shoes after 3 years of use. They were still very comfortable but the flex in the nylon sole had become noticeable and the insole was at lifes end. Sore feet after having a pair of shoes for such a long time could be atributed to too much flex in the sole, your cleat has worn out and needs to be replaced or the footbed/insole has been worn out. You could even just be over tightening you shoe straps? These are thing we can't tell for sure without seeing the shoes first hand and may be why you are getting some random replies.

intern Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Hi Racechick - my g/f started to develop sore feet as well after cycling for a few months. Sent her to the podiatrist and amazingly, she has a broken bone in her foot (must have skopped me when I was sleeping or something). Point is that we also thought it might be her cycling shoes, but the poddie was able to identify the problem by looking at her foot as well as the shoes - and it turns out the shoes weren't the problem at all.... So I would say having it checked at the poddie might be a worthwhile first step, if you will pardon the rather unfortunate pun....
