These are both really awesome wheels. Want to know which one is better at what? eg. weather conditions(wind), climbs, flats and TT's

Like you said both are really awesome wheels. At the end of the day which ones do you want to ride with? I raced with a set of 404's here in Cape Town and a wind is a wind and when it is a side wind you will know about it.

At the end of the day-------------BLING FACTOR will win you over.

And if I'm not mistaken the 404's weigh less.

Ja I'm liking the Tempest's but they are more expensive and I'm not sure about the wieght Factor. Just want to know which is worth the money since they are also very pricey and want to make the right choice.

Then go for the 404'sThumbs%20Up

In terms of performance I think there is very little difference you will notice on the bike, choise will fall pretty much to personal preference - buy the one you like best.

My preferece is for the Zipps. I like the company, the way they go about engineering their products, publish their test data to back up any performance claims they make. The 2008 404s (white rim stickers) have got a redesigned rim which Zipp claim has is as strong as the strongest full carbon rim available on the market, regarding impact strength. Imo Zipp scores a bit more bling points for the looks, dimples & the CSC sponsorship.

Both do look great, but from personal experience I can say it's Zipp...no contest.

Also, Zipp has a "No Fault Crash Replacement Program", which I don't think Easton has.  So, should the worst happen, Zipp will back you up in getting you onto a new set of Zipp's.

So are you saying that Zipp will replace a wheelset you have crashed and broken?  How does that work?

I've heard something about Zipp wheels being factory made and that if you break a spoke you need to send them back to replace the spoke, you can't just go to your lbs and have them replace it, is this true?

Easton EC90 aero- weight 1335 grams,

The EC90 Aero is the upgrade for the popular Tempest II carbon wheel set. However, it now comes with new Easton-made 56mm carbon rims laced to Easton R4 hubs; the EC90 Aero is stiffer and faster than its predecessor. Deep section rims offer incredible rotational and lateral stiffness providing quick acceleration and a smoother ride. This is a great hand-built road-racing wheel, but is equally at home for triathlons or cyclocross.

Dont think Zipp can say that. Easton's are made to last.

These are ZIPP 404 CYCLOCROSS... Not ordinary ZIPP 404.

These are ZIPP 404 CYCLOCROSS... Not ordinary ZIPP 404.

They used to use standard 404's for cyclocross before they developed these:

"

Long

before we ever developed our first cyclocross specific wheelset, the

404 was already winning world titles. The 58mm deep cross section

allows mud to clear the rim quickly and efficiently, while the

strategic laminate ensures comfort and durability far beyond

expectation.

more or less same weight.....I researched a bit and I think they are actually the exact weight...

The Zipps with their dimples are more aerodynamic in a cross-wind but they crack in half if overpumed....

they really nice wheels both of them. I ride on eastons and i love them

but go for price if that is the factor. Just buy second-hand though

I really like the Eastons and from what I've heard it seems to be really fantastic wheels.

However, I had a deep, primal urge to posess a set of Zipp 404's from the moment I saw them and I recently managed to satisfy it.  Is it the best wheel out there?  I don't know.  Can I be any happier?  No.  I am 100% bling happy...
