Those are my most hated trees.Angry(Origin Australia which explains it)

They have been a serious problem to the local flora and fauna I might add since I was a lighty in the 60' date='s.

Between the bluegums,pine and Port Jacksons they are responsible for deteriorating soil conditions,fires,erosion etc.

Wipe them out when you see them.

Also was the cause of my hayfever for years until I moved from the Cape and broke the cycle.

oh no, CryCryCry I have to move......CryCryCry

 

 

 

They are a declared invader by DWAF ( Department of Water and Forestry Affairs) and must be eradicated.  I know that working for water are supposed to be busy with an eradication process whereby the trees ard cut and poison painted on the stump.

 

Just don't know how far the program is.

I worked for the Work for Water Program in 1999/2000 .... Wink but I don't know how far things are at the moment, since the Program integrated with Western Cape Nature Conservation
