So those rims you used must be the same then?

turtlek Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 the mavic cosmic carbon rims are actually a deep section carbon aluminum rim and you would need a longer nipple so that you can tighten the spokes on the inside of the sidewall of the rim from the top of the rim where your rim tape would sit i will e mail you detailed pictures of what i mean you can pm me your mail address and whats so crazy about having 16 hole rim at the rear??????
Johan Bornman Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 It is highly unlikely that two different rims will have the same Effective Rim Diameter (ERD). I can see that you're in for new spokes and a new rim. And since your choice of rims with that drilling is extremely limited, you may as well get new wheels. I have a database of rim ERDs. If you send me the exact rim names I can see if they match.
