Hi Guys,

I am looking at buying a 2nd hand set of Zipp 303 Z3's, only problem is the freebody, its the wrong kind. I ride DA and the dude has set the rim up for Campy. Now I know I'm gonna get the 'why dont you just convert to Record' question. Sorry but that's just not gonna happen!!

Anyway, my question is, is a freebody conversion make and model specific, meaning would I require a freebody for my DA cassette from Zipp?

thanks for that pearl Sarge LOL!!

Sorry mate could not let that one slide............  get a campy cassette and ride with it.  should not give you hassles.

Like muddee says, just ride it with a 10sp Campy cassette. I know Pantani, Gary Rabie and a few other hubbers also do that. Really it wont make any difference. All my wheels are fitted with campy 10sp cassettes and i ride them daily on my Shimano 105 fitted bike. Works just as well with DA.

Do a search here on the hub on the subject, and you will see lots of threads on the issue. Really its no big deal, and you will save yourself a few hundred rand by not having to replace your freehub.
