good bike or bad bike

heya people,new to this cycling

my question is a avalanche road bike a good bike or bad bike??...there are just to many models out there and this was the bike i've found thats in my beginning phase of cycling

I know exactly what bike you are talking about. It all depends for what purpose you want to use it. I quess for commuting and riding once in a while it is fine, but for entering races, etc I am not too sure. Then again I might be wrong.

what avalanche is it? there's a tr zero (i think) that is decently specced as an entry level bike.

Oops, I was under the impression that there was only one model- you know the one that you buy at the cafe with the plastic toe-clips.

reg, they do a range of cheap mtb and kiddies bikes too. not an extensive range, though.

One of the chaps in the neighborhood bought avalanche road bikes for himself and his son, paid about R2500 to R3000 per bike a while ago. They had the plastic black toe-clips I referred to. Would that be the expensive or cheap range bikes?

Cheap !!! But they are still very good bikes .

ja, those are the ones. the real cheapies have unbranded shimano or sora stuff. we had one with a carbon fork, that went for about R6000.

howzit...thats my usual time of going to bed,but as soon as i get a bike i think i'l be doing some morning rides lolol....Actual i'm buying it both for commuting and ridin aswell...so i assume i've hit the bulleyes with that entry level bike.the avalanche in mind is last year's model as the dealer told me and its a sale to make ways for new models.
