Schwinn Fastback Elite, what u think of it?

Hi Guys

 

I am mainly a MTB rider, but looking at a road bike for something a bit different.

I have come across this 2007 Schwinn Fastback Elite for R6000-00 at my LBS.

It has been ridden a few time (maybe less than 500k's) so no real sign of any use.

They have (kindly) let me take it and ride it for a few days, so I can decide if I like it or not.

 

What you all think, a good by or not??

I've always liked Schwinn. The specs seem pretty good.

 

New they go for R9 000.00 odd, so R6 000.00 is not really a bargain. Second hand bikes normally lose about 50% of their value, esp. in our current depressed state.

 

If they are open for neg. try and drop the price a bit or get them to chuck in free pedals or something.

Sounds like a good deal to me. If you say it looks brand new and you like the way it rides, and you like the colour, take it. At the end of the day it is your money, not ours, so if you happy DO IT!!!
