Looks like a *** idea to me. You're reach to your bars will constantly change.

Only when you're seated, which is no advisable on dirtjumps or slopestyle courses, which is what the bike is intended for.

It makes perfect sense.

Guys....you're kinda missing the point.

It solves a specific problem relating to SLOPESTYLE and JUMPBIKES.

The issue is that there's not enough room within proper slopestyle/jump bike geometry for a rear suspension system. Have a look at that pic. See how close the rear wheel is to the seattube and saddle? No room for suspension.

Moving it to this position solves that problem.

Using this system on an xc bike won't solve any issues as xc geometry is not affected by the addition of rear-suspension.....hence it won't ever be used on xc.

Plus doing so will be overly complicated because it would require somehow designing this system so that the distance between the seat and bars remains constant. This again is not an issue as SS/jump bike riders are only ever seated when they're sitting around tuning each other's technique.

Class over Wink

The only diff between the focus and many other dual designs is that the shock sits on top/in the top tube instead of beneath it. Unlike the design on the cannondale the toptube on the focus doesnt move.
