agh, ze Germans will hopefully be the top competitors for next years title. Vettel and Glock in particular. Glock had such a good season, regarding it was his first F1 season. Also Vettel and Glock grew up a mere 30 km's from another. Must be the good air around here (and the nice side roads you can race your car so well)! Smile

Yes I have been going to the Swartland for quite some time and I help out there as well (our rally club is the organisers of the event). I also attend all the regional rallies in the Western Cape as well (if you want to meet the guys and maybe get the chance to ride with them' date=' regionals is the place to do it.)

EDIT to add: I also just love racing in general! Rallying just more than the others

thanx for the tip bud!StarWink

No problemBig%20smile our club's website is http://www.cpmccrally.co.za, keep an eye on it to see when the regionals are (this year's season has passed already, ending with the tragic death of one of our top guys at the last event)

Race/rally/event whichever you prefer Tongue Yes, maybe see you there! A rally is quite a nice atmosphere, when I leave the camera at home we usually have a braai and just relax while watching (until I joined the club atleast, now its work work work)

His name was Paul Pfeiffer, it was more of a freak accident and he sadly drowned, one of the nicest guys in rallying.

In about 3 weeks time our club has its year end function at Misverstand Dam. That is where I navigated for the first time. If you like I can find out for you whether none members may come (I'm sure they may) and then you can navigate on a short stage. It's usually just the weekend warriors that bring their cars (Paul was the only top guy that did) but it's still fun sitting next to these guys.

As a cyclist you are forgiven for spelling rally as RaleighLOL Easy mistake.

The photography part of rallying can also become addictive, I sometimes even sell the photos just to pay for the fuel (6 Regionals and 2 Nationals in the Western Cape can become expensive fuel wiseConfused)

I have just mailed a guy from the club with regards to non-members attending the Misverstand event. If he says its okay and you are free then atleast you will experience a rally stage and also meet some of the rally guys. The first time I went I ditched my studying to spend the day there, wasn't going to miss it for the world.

Jip snapping moving targets is difficult, practice makes perfect!

Good luck with the exams then, mine only finishes after the event Cry

I don't think it would be to hard to convince him if he enjoys rallies as well, as he would be able to have a go in the navi seat as wellBig%20smile

Enjoy evening, I'm off to watch the WRC
