Okay so the feeling is a demo bike with ladies saddle and some rides to determine outcome.

Will start doing some investigations as to what shops can get me a demo bike.

She is 1.73m tall

small/medium or 16/17/18" or thereabouts. but that's just a general guide. take her in to the shop and get her measured up.

Yeah looks like I am going to have to do that... kinda throws the element of the surprise out the window but will rather sacrifice that for a comfortable ride and good fit.

Oh don't worry she will have more than her fair share of surprises on the ride. Surprises are also not always good things.Wink

Post a pic of her, we'll be able to help with the size from that - although it won't work if she's wearing a lot of clothing. LOL

Other option - and this is the master plan I'm working on. Since I can't find a nicely priced 2nd hand jump bike, I'm going to get my girl into MTBing, then suggest we get her a bike of her own, then buy 'her' a dirt jumper! Big%20smile

jedi' date=' the Cyclehub at Rietvlei has rental MTB's. Go and pay R60 for 4 hours and ride in a safe environment and take it from there.

easy way to solve that. . .buy yourself a new bike and give here your current one. That way if she doesnt enjoy riding you got yourself a new bike, and if she does enjoy riding you both got a bike. Its a win-win situationWink

Just give your bike a good wash and change the colour of the handle bar grips , and she will think that ils a new bike. . . unless she knows what bike you have. My gf thought a have a blue bike when it is white with a world champ stripe!!WinkWink
