jedimastersa Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 Okay so the feeling is a demo bike with ladies saddle and some rides to determine outcome. Will start doing some investigations as to what shops can get me a demo bike.

Yeah looks like I am going to have to do that... kinda throws the element of the surprise out the window but will rather sacrifice that for a comfortable ride and good fit.

Other option - and this is the master plan I'm working on. Since I can't find a nicely priced 2nd hand jump bike, I'm going to get my girl into MTBing, then suggest we get her a bike of her own, then buy 'her' a dirt jumper!

Captain Slow Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 jedi, the Cyclehub at Rietvlei has rental MTB's. Go and pay R60 for 4 hours and ride in a safe environment and take it from there.

Just give your bike a good wash and change the colour of the handle bar grips , and she will think that ils a new bike. . . unless she knows what bike you have. My gf thought a have a blue bike when it is white with a world champ stripe!!

WIN! 2 Bikes are better than 1 I know I am into the cycling thing but not sure sure I am willing to trade my lady for a bike just yet... (note the just yet...)
