I need some technical help wrt reactions between metals.

<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I built a bike rack for my trailer and had it galvanized. I now want to put aluminium channels on for the wheels.

The problem is that when aluminium is mounted on a galvanized surface, the galvanizing causes the aluminium to corrode, albeit be it over a long period of time. Is there a way to prevent this corrosion from taking place?

In the high voltage industry we use a yellow paste called Denso Paste on copper-to-aluminium connections to prevent the metals from corroding each other.

Is there a similar type of compound for aluminium-to-galvanized connections?
