So in my little off on the weekend, I damaged one of my brake levers. Called the shop to get a price on a replacement lever.

Can you believe it - R2,600 for a carbon lever, or R1,200 for the aluminium. That's for a single lever! Outragrageous.

Needless to say I will be doing experimental carbon repair with superglue this evening.

Crazy.

If I was you, and depending how it broke...

Lightly roughen up the "channel" behind the lever with flatting paper. Get a piece of plastic or perspex and shape with sand paper so that it will fit into the channel almost like a splint (like when you brake your leg), and super glue the whole thing together.
