CYCLING IN SOUTH COAST

Hi, I am new on THE HUB and need some advice.

Going down to Southbroom for holiday - does anybody have advice with regards safe cycling down there - ?road or MTB and where.

Plenty of good safe riding but easier if your are shown than to explain.

 

Ask the LBS - Winners Cycles (Gary Greer) in Margate winners@vodamail.co.za (Bobby's in Port Sheppie, there are others as well)

 

For mtb, there are established or guided riutes at Clearwater Trails on the R61 north of Port Edward (speak to Jan, that's KZN english "Jan" with an A, not plat Gauteng "Jun") http://www.clearwatertrails.co.za/

Definitely agree with Aicorner. Clearwater is great. Have some coffee at the plantation. 

 

Although a bit of a trip, I do recomend trying out Giba while you are in that general area.

 

As for road I think the old coastal road is pretty cool.
