Hahaha good one, of all the things I've lost in my life I miss my mind the most!!!!Wacko

Awesome !

I presume that's a 29er ?

Was talking to my mates about those unicycles. Trying to convince them to buy one but no-one is biting.

Well this is actually 36'ers so it has quite a bit of torque going down hills, and since it is NOT a freeWheel but Fixed hub you can imagine the stress it puts on ur legs, we have a brake on it to use as a drag to make it easier but it still takes some effort going down hills.Dead

Ruan' date=' apart from certain components, what are the differences between the Muni & the Cross.

Why should you purchase one over the other ?

I know you asked Ruan the question, but figured I could answer as well. The main difference between the Cross and the MUni is strength basically. The MUni has a much stronger hub, rim, and cranks. It is know to be bomb proof and very few people have managed to damage one is any way.

The Cross is obviously not as strong, but it will stand up to a lot of punishment and depending on your weight could easily take drops of 5 foot. I ride with a Cross and am quite a heavy bugger, and still managed to take drops of 4 foot with ease on it. I did however bend the cranks that come standard with the Cross and after an upgrade it is rock solid.

If you have the extra R1000 and you want to take it a little more seriously then the MUni is the beast to go for. If you're concerned about cost and want to see whether it is something you want to do then go for the Cross. If you really enjoy MUni after that you can always ride the Cross into the ground (which would take some doing) and then upgrade to the MUni, and being only a fraction of the cost of a MTB you can't go wrong Smile

Thanks Thumbs%20Up

heeeeectic' date=' how long did it take you guys? WELL DONE!!! [/quote']

It took us just under 6h to complete the race, we had some Lekker breaks so actual riding time was 5h03...Dead

You telling me 1 wheel is faster than my 3 darn....ok must be weight advantage then 8kg or less verse 40kg lol... but what was your actual time according to Winningtime mine was 5:41 which included some small pitstops to refresh. I still take my hate off to you guys I cant imagine doing that race on a unicycle nevermind going offroad sometimes
