Regular riding around Bergvliet?

Hello Capetonians,

 

So I did a search to try and find out if there are any groups that meet in or around Bergvliet..... poor Daniel has been waiting for 4 years for a response to his post, so I'm hoping someone out there will be a bit kinder to me.......

 

My sister lives in the area and is looking for a group that she can ride with regularly. Are there any such groups out there?

I think Constantia 100 or Cycle 100 or something? They're probably the closest.

Only one response from Cape Town....... and there I was thinking the place was full of cyclists ;-)

I think he means Club100

They ride from Constantia Village Shopping Centre - a stone's throw from Bergvliet

 

There is also Cyclelab

Tokai is teeming with mountain bikes on Sat and Sunday mornings (as mentioned in other theads)

 

There are a few die hards who are trying to ride before work during the week. See thread

 

But come September, our group will start weekday morning rides again. Tues & Thurs mornings at 5:00 from Claremont. There are several riders from Begvliet that join us as we come down Main Rd.

Trying to get a response from Club 100, is like trying to flog a dead horse. Months on and no reponse about my enquiry. Maybe you can enlighten us here on the forum in terms of your rides, especially weekends, which routes and what pace does the rides take place

Try re emailing the club as they should give some sort of reply (well we hope).

 

Club 100 meet at 8am on Saturdays and Sundays outside Trail and Tar, Tokai.

 

Routes vary but if you come to one ride, give your details to a club member and he or she will get you onto the mailing list which tells members about the upcoming rides etc.

 

For more details try ask a committee member at a club ride. They should be able to help.
