I presume the tar is for the parking. Will there be any other surface other than hardpack on the track?

Out of interest, how high is the start ramp? How would this compare to the one used at the Olympics? How long is the track as well? Max no. of racers?

So many questions I know, but very interesting.

Tar is for the BMX track - start ramp and big berms if I'm not mistaken. Start ramp is 8 metres high (about three storeys). Same height as the one used in Beijing. This is an international standard track with a non-Elite option on the middle straight. Anyone of any age will be able to ride the whole track. Race meetings there are going to great to, er, watch. Maximum of eight riders per race.
