Trubie' date=' where are the girls on the SBR ride? Or are we just missing them at the front?

[/quote']

Andy, please don?t let me stop you bringing a few along. Feel free man, feel free. Bring em on.

70 k's running per week' date=' will put you in a position to break 40 min in 10 k's , which will in turn put you in a position to be competitive in the age cats.

One long run of 15-20 k's over the weekend, and then you have 6 days to do the rest of the 50 k's in.

It will include doing the TT, interval, hills, fartlek thingies.

[/quote']

Used to run 15 k?s on a Monday, Wed and Friday and try to race every Sunday. Usually around 21 k's

Some weeks was only around 40 k?s and some were a bit higher. I found that getting to 60 used to take it out of me and I was constantly sick and run down, so I eventually cut back to 30 and gave it all up. Comrades really hurt me and I feel the effects of it even today.

Maybe I should just go there now then! LOL. I will probably get there between 0715 and 0730. If not I will catch you guys up.

So Slave, where the ladies? Your department I hear. Surely some of those fine ladies you post must have a bike?

Er, Trubie. WHO'S your Woes?smiley7.gifsmiley18.gif

I am still in therapy from that WWRR. Man it was frikkin cold that morning and since then I live in fear of riding in the cold.

So I am a little soft ok. I thought that was part of being a peofter roadie.

Remember one thing dude. before now, I was very much a fair weather rider. This cold junk is new to me and maybe I need to toughen up, but like what price? Cold weather is for those white bears and they even smart enough to hibernate. I'm fast learning that they are wiser than we humans. Next winter, my bike will be an expensive dust collector. Unless I can find new reasons to ride. Like a beautiful new bike. Maybe a Colnago.smiley2.gif

Er, last time I checked they had hardly any clothes and no bikes. Sigh, would be nice if we could convert them into IDT's.

Trubie and I are both hitched, (No, not to each other fools, to our respective "balls and chains.") so chances that we know any good looking single cyclist chicks are very slim. I definitely speak from my own experience here. Trubie is very misguided. Even though I do some part time work at the Lollipop lounge and Teazers Midrand, those girls are expensive and they also don't own bikes.

I know one or two married cyclist chickas though. WW, you riding the jock or can you come out and play in the SBR Saturday? Bring a buddy or two. Andy is on the prowl. smiley17.gif Nance, you otherwise engaged this weekend?

BTW, you have been very quiet lately. Wassup girl. We miss ya.

Andy, dude, Trek is like Ford. American junk. Colnago is like Ferrari. Exclusive. They are beautiful bikes. Really beautiful.

Lance rides a Trek. He is a good rider. Me, I'm just the great pretender. Since I will not be knocking down the doors of victory anytime soon, I would like the image that goes with being the great pretender.

Depends on my sponsors anyway. Maybe this is all a dream an I will wake up and still be riding the Petini for many decades to come.

Seriously, I'd rather carry my petini around on my back than ride a Trek.

Slave , especially for you!

I'll rather ride that Trek than the fancy Italian sheise.

Take the quote to heart and stop being and acting foolish!

Ah Trubes, you fall for the bait there mate?

smiley2.gif

I know your Trek is a nice ride. I seen it.

As far as choice goes, if I had the choice, I would take the Colnago. I really do like them. The are gorgeous bikes.

As fro anything else. I am happy with my Petini. At least BB hads topped calling my bike a farm gate. A step in the right direction don't you think?smiley16.gif

Call me wooden sppon today see, I have been stirring it up again. All over the place.

Fortunately I know you better by now.

You love the Trekker purely because its less noisy than the Prince when you wanna enjoy the scenery.

This thing you mentioned about Lance. Is he in te lead yet or still languishing back in third?

(At the risk of turing this into yet another "Lance thread".

Hi All

Would like to ride on Saturday morning with a friend Mr Cool - what's the plan??

We must try and depart from the parking lot at 7:15' date=' 7:30 latest. Its already a two hour ride for the one lap, if you wanna do more we need to leave as early as possible. Finish at latest 11:00 - home by 12:00!

Sounds like a bit of debate around the start, I'm happy to be there for seven if required. Any definitive times yet? [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley2.gif[/img]

Gates open at 7, we sign in, takes a few minutes. We go to car park and get ready. A few more minutes. Then when we all there and ready, we ride. Simple. smiley2.gif

How many minutes depends on how many sign in and how much has to be done to get ready. We should be able to ride at anywhere between 07h15 and 07h30.

Looking forward to it.

BTW Trubes. Maybe I'm not like a fan of anything yet, but I think the man can ride. Like it as not, he has talent.

I will not be drawn into debating the drugs scandles and all that stuff, TDF is hectic going. Maybe the ultimate cycle race and Lance has won it many times. Even now after several years break, he is still doing very weel, especially for an older dude. I respect that.
