Yo all of you,

My leggs are back and I am smiling,

Like I said before we planned a 40 and at the last moment decided to go long.

The longest my daughter has done was 52km in another flat race.

We started and kept on riding strong and we were aiming for a sub 4.

She cramped the last 20km's and I kept on pedaling along.

When we crossed the line on 3:45 I was quite emotional.

She was in tears as I made the comment that this is her first century medal.

5 mins later she wanted to know what it takes to be pro.

Watch this space :)

I could not be happier and more proud as I know what she went through and came out standing on the other end.

Took out my roadbike for the first time since Argus today for the race on Sat (97km)

Looks like you all are really strong if times are anything to go by :)

Well done to all of you and perhapd see some of you on Sat?

Marius

Happiness tjom. Geniet dit , dis baie special

sal daar wees saterdag ja, maar die 115 is ons voorland

I am really happy you made it up the hill past my house in Pinetown "cowies se hill" with PBHS on the right...

‎1st pre 94.7 classic 'race' this morning! Took in le Alpe d'Comaro, Col du PeterAckroyd (yes we turned left at the top) and triple B climb (big blade butchers). The usual suspects at play with Vic Sanchez the Spano-Portu climber putting the hurt on climbs and Dan Alberto putting the hammer down everywhere else. Team Prime Beef present in one or two breaks but unable to make any significant impact.

In technical news today it was noticed that the climbers weapon of choice has changed from Rally to the latest Italian designed and manufactured prototype 'Infinito' .... Team Prime beef riders were overheard muttering 'who needs 11 gears anyway'. This reporter suspects they feel pretty stoopid now after looking for 'just 1 more gear' on Peter Ackroyd!

Shocking allegations leveled against unnamed rider (involving an 'Italian' manufactured piece of equipment), it may involve weight and/or a hidden electronic device. The ATC (Alberton Technical Committee) are investigating. It's not known who made the allegations, Team Prime Beef denied emphatically it was them. Leaving only the team on Lance inspired triple chain ring equipped velos. You decide!

It sounds like you should be riding for the RideStrong Shack Team.

I've only climbed Comaro once and I'm still recovering, I do my best to avoid that other road you speak of (even with my car).

Team Prime Beef been suppling you with special steaks ??

Well done BS. (That's Big S and not bull shine.)I have managed to make several sucessful assualts on Camaro myself, but have yet to find a therapist good enough to convince me that Pieter Ackroyd after Camaro is anything less than complete insanity. I suspect that if I tried to ride with you beefy boys that I would still only be half-way up Camaro when you BBB.

For now I'm still settling for commuting up and down the parktown ridge. Got a wee bit wet and cold yesterday on the way home.Enjoyable enough rides to Melrose yesterday and again this AM. While we need the rain, I hope it stays dry just long enough for me to get home.

Kid - we are testing local steaks from Broederstroom injected with clenbutenol but it's clearly not working :(

Slave my good fellow I remember a time when you would have reveled in these conditions that I am training in, those will hopefully return soon :D

Off to ride the Zoo Farm later but it will be EASY

Dude, not only are you scaring the kids around here, but your memory is something like mine. Completely dysfunctional. (of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.)

The best I ever managed on Camaro was falling off close to the top (about 30m or so to go, so I went back down again and re-did it. Yes, I did do Camaro several times during last year, but that was all. I tried to do Pieter Ackroyd once, but I never managed enough power to get more than one-third distance. I suspect that at the time, it had a lot to do with my 42 / 21 configuration.

Now, I save my energies for my almost daily commutes. Haven't been riding enough I know, but maybe someday soon, I can change all that. I seriously miss the weekend rides with the bunches and the sounds of the tyres on tar. Problem is come the weekend, I need to recover for the next week of up and down the parktown ridge.

Enjoy the zoo farm. Be careful you don't come across a straay buck while barreling down a piece of single track. :P
