Funny kays????

I can cope with those. How do you cope with a funny brain? :o I think you had some vit S at lunch dude. I said 130. Not 200. Will build up to 200 in about 9 months time. Don't ask questions you might not want to hear the answers to.

Indigo Kid a.k.a. Slave Driver and that is a reference to more than the bloke who started this thread!

I'm as excited as a kid the night before Christmas!

My Edge 800 is in the country!!!

It was tracked this afternoon at 16:17 at JO'BURG INT MAIL CENTRE EMS, Received in destination country

Who knows? Maybe it can do a Spruit ride this weekend?

Agteros-That is great news! Hope it doesn't end up like Robbie Hunter's saddle that sits in customs for longer than the time it took to get to SA!

Kid-Stop being "funny" and get "serious"! You are riding! Nancy is the team manager!

Trubie-I am committed to the DC 2011 team and I have one other rider who wants to ride with us.

Slave-you going to have to do your 130km alone this Sunday morning as I have a breakfast appointment to interview a possible Soigneur. ;)

Ok so change of plans then for Sunday, Saturday Trubie is doing cheese factory and then short loop, up butchers and down again. Dude, are you doing this cheese factory part with the supersonic gang? I doubt I could do the sort of pace you guys do, so the alternative then is to go long with the fast bunch and then do that again Sunday. Third option is for me to leave a bit earlier, do a ride up Amanda, go through Mondeor, down the Lido hill and then the short loop. That should come close to 100.

Andy, there is more than enough time to interview those funny french things you're talking about.

Only need one per team anyway. :)

Thing is this, If I leave early to do a bit of extra work, I don't really know how much earlier to leave. The solution to this is simple really. I get down to the usual place, ride with the usual suspects and then instead of doing Butchers, I go along Swartkoppies, back to the Lido, then climb up the Lido hill and do Columbine in reverse. The virtical climb up Lido hill towards Mondeor is 182 m over 4 km where butchers is 149 (roughly same distance.)

The most woes climb in SBR is 199 m of VC.

@Slave

You could always do Big S / Big M climbing loop.

Up Comaro then left towards the Glen through Glenvista and then right onto Klipriver up Butcher's.

Then you also have the option of repeating it, again & again.

GO BIG Slave !!!

+1 on the slave driver thing, but if he ever tries to mount me to drive me there is going to be some bleeding. (And it won' be me.) ;) He is really trying very hard to get everyone except himself to do IM. Kid what is this fascination you have with IM? Why don't you do it, then maybe after that, you can convince us of the merits of doing it and maybe we can get a team together and do it as a team event? Just don't ask me. 'K? My ankles, knees and hips are shot from doing the running thing and the only running event I may ever do is the Skukuza half marathon. Will train for it, run it and then hang up the tackies again afterwards.

And Ox, the chances are that maybe you will get your new plaything in time for Easter if you play your cards right. If not, maybe you can have it for Christmas next year. :P This is after all, Africa. Maybe if your name was Ndlovu (Means elephant) instead of Agteros, you might have stood a chance.

Slave, it seems as if our Team ASGR soigneur (PH) has gone AWOL! :(

So I have to find my personal one. Besides, you conducted your interview last Saturday evening, and Sunday! ;)

So you wanted to take me on a woes climbing route?

Only if you join me. :P Tried climbing Camaro two weeks back after an overdose of Vit S and had to stop half-way up Camaro for a rest. That climbing loop of Big M's is only for hard core peeps like himself, Trubie, you and all those other supersonic cyclists.

Speaking of supersonic: I must have really motored to work this morning. I could have sworn I was on the bike but the Garmin says my max speed was 222. Frikkin' hell, my car doesn't even go that fast. In fact I think not too many do.

Giving the behaviour of the group I rode with this morning, the gadget will live up to its intended usage and be much more than a mere plaything.

Oh Slave and I already have a childhood Zulu nick name: Ijuba

You up for it Andy. I think we can meet at Camaro crossing, ride down to the usual place, then do the short loop and go along Swartkoppies one more time and turn right up the Lido hill towards Mondeor. It's a nice hard climb. Then do Columbine and if we still need a few km, we can always add Amanda to the route. If you up for the ride I will send you GPS cords of where to meet and park and we can ride out from there.

Deal.

We do it on the 27th or 28th Dec, which day would you prefer ?

But I'm going to change the route slightly.

We'll go up Comaro all the way until 1 block before Verona then we'll cut through Oakdene to the Glen then through Glenvista and up Klipriver.

According to my sources "Ijuba" is a "pidgeon". So it seems that name will now stick. :D No more ox man.
