Never counted mine either. But from just looking at wheels I think it is fairly widely used. You should look at the various wheel spec's on the web and see. Or at least your present wheel.

Who is giving me a wheel as a present? thumbup1.gif Lemme just get hold of that 24 spoke hub first, then can the bearer of presents just make sure that the rim (road) has 24 holes in clap.gif

Speaking of the DC Team, we need a Team Camp like the Luxembourg Team have just had. When are we having it? Any ideas?

SBR.  WTF is a team camp. Is this where we get together, drink beer and discuss race tactics, have strippers over for after the braai and stuff like that? When would it be? How does it work?

Some of the activities mentioned will turn me into a DNS for the team camp.

Slave, the DC is a cycling race, NOT a racy party

Slave seems to have got the "race" bit a little mixed up.

The Luxembourg Team went to a ski resort for their camp. It is mainly like a meet everyone event. Especially as some of the proposed team only knows the others from a hi and bye.

So we are sorted, we can all meet for a long loop at Xumbugs a few times, and then we know each other (and each others lack or training, and OD on vit S as well)

Yeah, I know. The SBR is a scary place to train. Maybe if we change the venue????

Someone mention my favourite vitamin? So that reminds me, Andy, when are we going to get together and have a few sips of that Black and Glen you were bragging about?

Seriously, we have our office Christmas Function on Sunday. Somewhere out in Magakkiesberg and I have to be there. Designated cook for the day. So another DC training day sees it's butt and I will maybe indulge in one or two of thise vitamin tablets. But I ony get trashed once a year and three weeks ago was the time. My binge is over for the next year. (oh wait, there is just one more exercise I have to do that involves Vitamin S. I have a few ghosts that need to be exorcised. It involves a time of seriously deep introspection about the recent marital issues that have now been resolved, coming to terms with it, and listening to the music that was part and parcel of the whole deceased relationship. It's not a time of morbid stuff but rather listening to the music and appreciating that life, for whatever it has to offer is good, and to reach the point of detaching the ghosts from the music so that in future when I hear it, it doesn't shatter my equilibrium. Complicated event, but it works for me.

So yesterday was pretty much rock bottom for me. I laid the body to rest, had the funeral and today we move on. Said good bye to it all. My song of the day, Supertramp - Good bye stranger. Very symbolic. Sent Liewe Exie version 2 a copy of the lyrics as a final parting gift. Very few reasons for us to ever talk to each other again. We part as "friends" or at least having agreed to a cessation of hostilities.

Glad to hear it is all in the past now Slave. That era has ended and a new one begins! A celebration Black and Glen is just what is needed. Music is a great "therapy". Glad you parted as "friends" and not with a Diktat!

Sounds good Andy. I was thinking, Thursday is like a holiday. Maybe we should take a ride around SBR. Just a nice slow one. I need the therapy of the bike and nature as a combination. it would be very therapeutic. :)

You're right of course. Sometimes in life we read a good book and we regret when it ends, but they do and then we pick up another one and read some more. When one chapter ends, another begins and so the cycle repeasts itself as long as we live.

Andy - how on earth can a team such as the Lux team (sponsored by Dove beauty soap) call themselves Team Leopard??????? I mean really naf or what?

A training camp you say? We dont need a camp, we need a Jan 2011 meeting to discuss the arrangements and dish out some work. Then we leave each to their own devices and we have a follow up every month. It can be preceded by a ride somewhere...

Then in second half of the year we will arrange some team training rides leading up to the event.... First we need to fill the last 3 spots on the team (we have options and lines in the water, so I'm waiting to hear what them hubbers say) and get at least 2 non travelling reserves to fill in if Andy or someone has sudden stuff to do that pops up two days before we depart :)

Slave - hang tough china...... some ACDC tonite should see you through
