Definitely wanne change that!

Does anyone cycle to Elandsfontein,(atlas road)close to jetpark, in the mornings?

Or know of someone who does?

I've seen groups riding, but not sure if its just over the holiday season.

Sorry Pistol, can't help with your query. My commute is in a different direction.

Psssst hey Kid. You want some sweets? (Oh crap, wrong forum again.) Dude, I am going to make half your day. After a bit of thought, I have given in to yet more madness and will be doing half IM in 2012.

I think the Amarula is worse for you than the Vit S.

Best you book an appointment with the head doctor.

I'd strongly suggest you target the small ones (Energade series) first.

I'm assuming OX put you up to this ?

I'm innocent, and plead ignorance to this. Was quite a surprise to have heard about it!

Think it might have something to do with the fact that BigS has been posting TT & Ironman related phodies and stuff elsewhere...

BigS is definitely up to something, he even got himself a pair of new TT levers....

Well it seems we'll have our own Triathlon team soon.

MDW will have to be the team captain

BigS the team machine

Agteros the data guy

Slave the crazy old man

Hummy the scholar (but 1st he needs to write a few exams before he makes his comeback)

Andy will soon start riding horses instead of bicyles

Nancy is slowly becoming a roadie

Trubie will be a pro rider

Very Brave Slave, you can obviously swim? 1.7 km?

Haven't done that in 35 years or so. How difficult can it be? Just like anything else, it's about training up for it. I have run a half marathon many times before, so training up for it should be relatively painless. :whistling:

How far is the bike leg?

And Kid. Ox, for once had nothing to do with this. It was a spontaneous moment of madness completely uninspired by anyone on the hub. So, the question now is. When are you going to put your money where your mouth is and do it? I'm just the crazy old fart setting the bar for the youngsters to follow.

Oh, and since I no longer have a bedroom model IDT, it will keep me out of mischief. :(

But I am still working on that and joining a squash league.

Ok, now we have the serious stuff out of the way, what ride plans for tomorrow? Trubie heading out at midnight again for supersonic super distance?

I think it's 1.9km swim/90km cycle/21km run

MDW can confirm.

Let me see if I understand this correctly, you wanna start training for half IM which consists of swimming, cycling and running and on top of that you wanna start playing squash as well ????

Best you see the head doc today, your condition is a lot worse than I thought.

Having said that, last year you mentioned that you weren't getting enough food in for the amount of cycling you doing and now you still going to swim, run & play squash ?

You find some cows ??

Tomorrow will probably do an Alberton loop and then the Nampak loop with the slow bunch.

Still have sinus so I don't want to push too hard (not that I can).

I have over 300 km under the tyres already this week. I am taking the whole weekend off the bike.

There is a whole year to train for IM. It's in January next year. I think between now and then, I might be able to catch a few guinea fowl on Rand water property.

And also if you will excuse me, loads of work to do to improve the current cash flow crisis. Trying to give up the weed too, so I have to find something to do with my hands. Might as well swim, play squash, mundane stuff like that.

Since you aren't riding I'm assuming that you'll be running / swimming ?

@slave, you need a whole year to train for it ;-)

if you are interested in being guided one of the companies we sponsor is called Lifestruck, they take people with a goal, even couch potatoes and bring in the experts required to put them into a IM, www.lifestruck.tv chat to Stuart

Anyone going out with the 5:30am bunch tomorrow from Xumbugs?
