When I grow up Nance, I want to be faster than GOv2.0. (OH wait, I am. Or am I? It's never too late to have a happy childhood so I guess I don't want to grow up.)

Had a really cool ride yesterday. My usual ride buddy phoned yesterday to say he can' make it so I went out on my own. Did that 47 k loop in 1 hr 20 min. Eish, that stuff I took really works and the best of all, no pain in the legs today.

Blikkottel Slave, that is 35.25 km/h ! And here I sit dreaming about being able to do 30km at that speed smiley18.gif smiley19.gif

Looks like I'll have to invest in that IDT pretty soon, or else you gonna refer to the fast&furious rides as just a warm up...

Decided to throw caution to the wind an took some stuff. Like I said, not sure what. It was given to me by someone who knows someone. Can't say more at the mo' but will try to find out what. I have a spare stash for Sunday's ride.

So you'll be leading the bunch on Saturday & Sunday ?

Do you think GreyOwl will be able to keep up with you ?

It makes me fast, who cares what's in it?

I have so much energy, I just want to fly around everywhere. I can't sit still for a minute. Want to duck out of the office and go ride some more.

Bliksem, what a buzz.

Busted! Damn.smiley9.gifsmiley36.gifsmiley36.gifsmiley36.gif

Seriously, I only did a 20 k ride yesterday. Last did the route sometime in January so I did it as a "Time Trial". Only managed to knock off two minutes but my average speed was 33.9 kph's. 20.39 k in 36 min flat.

Was quite impressed, but still not in the league of GOv2.0.

Slave - no matter how much you're trying to fool us, we know yr abilities & we know all about the secret training you been doing every day.

It shows in yr results, and y're becoming a real animal on the bike. We have an owl, ox and whatever else, so what are you gonna be/what have you become?

You will put a lot of riders at shame with that time over 20k's. Im sure its a somewhat undulating course and in the afternoons its normally also lekka windy, so its a good time!!

Hesitant about sunday's ride now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

The 5:15 Xumbug group, now leaves from Steers in Meyersdal at 5:12? Why 12, I dunno?

We toured the southern suburbs this morning. A nice brisk ride in the fresh air of early morning, 15deg celc. We managed a 27.1 ave, I rode 44 k's

I remember you. You're that dark horse. The one that puts his money where his mouth is.

Lil' ol' me, I'm just the great pretender. I think I'm super fast, but in relaity, have always been and always will be a hooglian. At my age, it's too late to make any radical changes, so, I'll just stay a hooglian.

I just talk a big ride. Unlike you who actually does a big ride and leaves people like me sputterinng and farting along at the back.

Sundays ride gonna be a walk around the back of the nature reserve. Nance is prob'ly more scared of the ride than you.

I have also enlisted reinforcements for the back of the bunch. Nick, another ride mate of mine is super slow. So now there are nine of us with a possibility of a tenth joining. (Terrance.)

So Nuwbie, maybe they leave Steers at 5:12 because it took three minutes to get from there to Xumbugs, where they left at 5:15.

Being the faster bunch, I can see that as being a standard time to get that distance.

15 deg C. Not bad, nice temp. So that 44 km route, what, where is it.

My 20 k route is simple. From my house, up JG Strydom (N), Swartkoppies, Klipriver (left) back to JG Strydom and then home.

That hill up Klipriver is about three k's from the river to JG Strydom. Nice climb.

Sundays ride gonna be a walk around the back of the nature reserve. Nance is prob'ly more scared of the ride than you. No one knows just how scared I am. I am also very afraid of meeting new people, and socializing with them

I have also enlisted reinforcements for the back of the bunch. Nick, another ride mate of mine is super slow. So now there are nine of us with a possibility of a tenth joining. (Terrance.) Enforcements - now there's a thought............., maybe I can get a sucker or two to assist me on sun.

So Nuwbie, maybe they leave Steers at 5:12 because it took three minutes to get from there to Xumbugs, where they left at 5:15. Nah, they wont do that, bunch of old toppies like me. Its 5k's more or less, now ways they can make it in 3 min.

15 deg C. Not bad, nice temp. So that 44 km route, what, where is it. We went through Randhart, up Voortrekker, through Steeldedale, then I lost track of where I was, but it went through Regents Park, Rosettenville past Turfontein, past Gold Reef City, past Witspos and then through some suburbs till we eventually passed over the N12, and ended up at the top off Columbine and Klipriver rd's, I carried straight on down Butchers, Swartkoppies home, them bunch turned left and do a ride through the hills of Glenvista

My 20 k route is simple. From my house, up JG Strydom (N), Swartkoppies, Klipriver (left) back to JG Strydom and then home.

That hill up Klipriver is about three k's from the river to JG Strydom. Nice climb.

Its a toughie that last drag you describe.

I do a 30 min TT every 3 weeks - basically a progress test. Route is also not easy, but that I keep secretsmiley2.gif

FOFLMFAO Nuwbie.

Hey, that climb up Voortrekker can hurt some. Specially if you go up that hill past the "Silver Ball". Eish. I am terrified of that hill. Done it a few times, but try to steer clear.

Not too sure why I choose that route as a TT. I just decided yesterday to try and see how fast I could go on it.

That hill starts out rough but gets easier. (Buthcers and the Lido hill (towards Mondeor) start gentle and end up hurting you at the top.)

It's a nice route for a TT. I did that to measure how much I had "improved" since January. 2 Minutes is nothing to write (or should that be ride) home about but then again, I was doing it in 43 minutes in Setember last year.

Looking forward to Sunday. There are some mean hills on that Heideleberg loop.

Nuwbie, one of my mates does the south route in the mornings with that group. He wouldn't have been there today as he's doing the IronMan on Sunday.

I'd just like to know if you guys are going to wait for me at the top of the hills on Sunday or if you planning a TT all the way to Heidelberg ?

GreyOwl vs Ox vs Nuwbie vs Slavey, then Nancy & I will join you guys for breakfast.

You guys are meeting at DisChem, then which way are you going to get to Klipriver ? Are you guys going down Vaal ?
