I don't have jet lag because I slept well on the plane on a flat bed. ;)

My schedule was until Paris-Roubaix. Then have a bit of rest and recovery while I was in Germany and the half week when I get back to SA. Start the first weekend after I return which is this weekend. So I am perfectly on schedule.

Andy says that he's a super star and doesn't need to ride much.

And for some reason needs more rest than everybody else put together.

But this time he's got jet lag.

I didn't say I am a super star but thanks for the compliment. Much appreciated!

Although the Killers also think the same way you do. ;)

I'm too scared to take a rest. It may become a permanent one. :unsure:

Had a fair ride distance last weekend and did a nice 45 yeasterday considering that most of my rides are still the daily commutes. :blush:

Slave, you want a visa to come up to the north tomorrow? You can meet me and we can do a ride. Then you can ride back to the south. I will even, just this time waive your visa fee. :D

Looks like I wil be headed west tomorrow Andy. Thanks for the invite. Will be seeing a client at the office at 11 first and then I have a friend in crisis. Sunday, I am heading deep south to Meyerton and back.

Why don't you head north on Sunday and then we can both head further north. ;) I will be getting back in the saddle this weekend after about a month off so it will be an easy ride with no mountains. :D

@Andy

But Slave heading south on Sunday to visit his friend.

Why don't you ride south and then accompany Slave to Meyerton, meet his friend, have a shot of Vit S and then ride back home ?

You'll be home in time for Mother's Day lunch.

Thanks for the offer Kid, but I think I got this one covered. ;) Should be able to manage Ok without someone to hold my hand. A bit worried about riding up the steps alone later in the day. I may either hang around at the bottom of the steps and wait for someone else so we get up the steps in a group,or I may be forced to "take the long way home". (Supertramp do the orginal version of that song.)

Edit: Unless of course young Andy wants to join us for Church on Sunday.one of the reasons for my little trip. (Yeah, I know, there are a few right down the road from me.

@Slave

I wouldn't recommend this and I hate doing this myself but I did do it on Monday.

If you want you can ride on the highway and turn into the Rand Water Rd.

The big rocks that were between the Rand Water Rd and the highway have been removed and there's a path now.

Was told that some MTBers arranged it.

Is an option but there have been some jackings along that Rand Water road as well. :angry: If I recall a few MTB'ers have had their equipment shopped at knife point. Would rather go the long way around as a safer option.

MTB'ers arranging the removal of rocks? :blink:

Seems like southern MTB'ers (which two exceptions) are softer than northern MTB'ers. :lol:

Ok Slave, we can arrange something for a few weekends time when I am back in form and hitting a few mountains (such as Northcliff, Rockcliff, Krugersdorp, Sterkfontein and Rudd)! :D :P
