Er, I have been reliably informed by Nubie that Tuesday is the 21st, so if you go ahead and do that, you will find it a rather long wait since we will only be there 24 hours later.

The long loop on Saturday is hatever the fast n furious make it out to be. I think they go cheese factory with another hectic hill in between and then head home. I think last time as 75 k's so I guess that's pretty much what they'll be doing on Sat.

 

How about that intermediate bunch on Sunday' date=' they ride at fair pace and no Moana. She gets dropped.

 

I'm hoping that Narco will finally make it down from his mountain and be able to cut the apron strings for long enough to do this loop with us. Finally get to meet the cheeky bloody so and so. (His first post still wrankles and I have to extract my revenge on the steps. You know the lungs hanging out on the handle bars and the blood trail.)

 

So, wasssup,you scared of going long with the fast bunch? At least if we head out together, I will have someone to ride with when I get dropped. I think. (You were pretty fast on that Eye of Africa loop last weekend.)

I misunderstood, we can ride with the fast bunch on Saturday.

The couple of occasions I had the misfortune of being with him during his race up there, I have been so beaten when I got home, that I had to take a day off just to recover. Never mind the ego dents it creates, scars that you never get rid off.

Edit: Nuwbie doesn't like to brag about his ability. When I went up those steps with him first time, he was so far ahead of me I needed Binocs to see him. Second time, he cracked the whip so hard I can still hear the ringing in my ears. I was doing my best speed and he aksed me to let him know when I found the parking I was no doubt looking for.

 

He has me confused with the birdman who flies up there at a "gentle pace" of 35.

 

Lil' ol' me, I just talk a big ride.

getting worried about you man, see the posts - i'm in for Sunday at xumbugs at 7 and weds outside the Sasol garage for the longer loop where I'll huff and puff and kotch my lung out onto the handlebar and leave a pile of blood sweat and tears along the route together with my pride, dignity and anything else that you wish to take from me with your steps and long loop, walkerville hill, butchers, columbine avenue etc.........

 

Having said all of that, gonna see the bone cracker on Sat, he's out in the wild west so will have to pass on the 07h00 sat ride.

Ride a white Specialized Allez with black front forks with a grey and white Bell helmet, usually with a dozy look on my fact but that comes standard with anything I wear.

Kid - thanx for setting the record straight. I think this secret training is getting to Slave. Tues he's gonna vote? Not sure where, but let him be.

 

He invites me for the sunday ride, knowing that Im a highly trained athelete, who will be racing on sunday, and I'm away for the weekend!!
