So Nuwbie is now Trubie.

Nuwbie/Trubie if you had pitched on Saturday you would still have the same name but I guess you were bored ??

Give us the interseting stats' date=' where did you finish ? avarage speed ?

Guess what I did yesterday, I dropped the main bunch on the long loop - yipee. I kept telling you guys that they getting slower and yesterday I proved it.

I also learnt that riding alone with this freaken wind in no fun, Trubie where were you to protect me from the wind ?

Slavey my boy what happend to you on Friday & where were u yesterday ?

Kid , we are so proud of you. Its once again a confirmation that the secret training is paying off. The rest of us (ok , maybe just me) is getting worried, last week it was Slave who rode away from everyone on the steps, now you're dropping the long loop group, Ox is IDT training. Ooh boy - I can see big trouble in little China(South) soon.

About the wind - that is just a way of making you stronger. Remember the golden rule - If you train when everyone else is resting, you have the advantage, same goes for the wind, the longer you ride in the wind alone, the stronger you'll get, one day, when you least expect it, it will be beneficial. Well done

Thanks Trubie, wasn't my plan but it turned out that way.

Last week Slave dropped everybody on the steps and on Friday he got dropped on the steps so I'm going to keep it very quiet otherwise Sunday I'm going to be left behind big time.

Slavey, you doing the long loop on Sunday just in case they plot a revenge ride on me. Besides you a big guy and I can hide behind you (from the wind) smiley2.gif

It happens exactly as Agretos describes it here.

Lotsa talk' date=' plenty dust, mega fun  - have not seen the love part yet.

How the tide has turned. The kid has gotten fast and he still wants to hide behind me?

Angaaz.

Just so you know, I bought a rope the other day. Now I will hook onto your bike and get towed up the steps and hide behind you on the long loop.

Oxman is probably going to join us this weekend so I'll wait to see what his plans are before committing myself to loops. (I'm already loopy enough.)

I'm up for a ride on Saturday as well, but I was thinking about the short loop. Will do whatever you guys do *ouch* smiley18.gif

Sunday might be an MTB day again ... Or a 100km day with the club... dunno yet

Feels like I need to go visit the Eskimo shop and buy some kit from them though!

You can join but you aren't aloud to be at the front and push the group!!

Seeing that your ego is overfilled after Friday's race.

Isn't Racman joing us on Saturday ??

ya the cup is runneth over(have even considered taking Ox's advice and stop training all together and be even better at the next race), but it'll only be for a week, till I get hammered again on sat & sun.

How do you push in the front, I thought if you are in the front, you pull?

But wait

If there is wind, I suppose you can push that while in front

Trubie, we are all rushing to buy skiing kit since we think you look so cool in it and we want to follow suit.

In case you hadn't noticed, it's not all that cold. (Dis kef@kken BRRRRRR.)

Everyone taking up skiing now?

Why you all talk about buying/getting kit all of a sudden?

I heard a rumour about something called 'winter'? Apparently it is freezingly cold on a bicycle during this 'winter'. As the Eskimos stay in the polar regions (where it is cold) surely they should have adequate clothing to deal with this thing called 'winter'

So, being an ex-Natal boikie and all, I don't really handle cold spells very well....

Ive heard of it too, but have made provision on rides to ensure I stay warm and comfortable, unlike my "friends" who take the mickey out of me because I come prepared.

Suffer suckers, suffer. Dont be pansies nowsmiley19.gifsmiley19.gifsmiley19.gif

Trubie, now the true colours are coming out dude.

We only taking strain now that it's getting cold. You been the big softie since early March and wearing the wrong kit to cycle in.

Obviously it works so we are also looking to imitate this fashion statement of yours. Since I lack the results, I may as well look the part of the overdressed cyclist.

Nuwbie = new dude on the block (hub)

Trubie = according to my hub dictionary - someone constantly bickering, causing trouble, and acting like a smartass, ie Troublemakersmiley17.gif

This is what happens when you talk so much crap, you have to start hiding from yr fellow hubbers under diff names.

Slave is the leader of the pack, so naturally I had to follow suit.

You are still pansies, and as Nance has declared - softies (although I am not sure how she knows this much info on you okes - remember I havent met her yet, so I am excluded)

Nancy knows met from a hub ride over Breedts Nek (and back) which was a 956m ascent on 66 km of gravel roads...

Compared to that, going up the steps is ... easy peasie pansy stuff!

Dunno Trubes, but I might side with you here!

Not everybody can be heroes though, so some of us will just have to take our skiing club outfits out the cupboards!
