I have just experienced, first hand, the excellent service offered by Avnic Trading, the local Garmin importers.

 

I was having problems with my Edge 705 head unit and took it in to their offices last week. Today the courier arrived at my office with the replacement - a completely new package with cadence sensor, HR belt and everything.

 

They've really exceeded my expectations by both delivering well within their indicated timeframe and by sending me a complete replacement package when a just new head unit would have sufficed.

I'm glad to hear that, I have a problem with my 305, and was reluctant to take it in, because I didn't want to wait for months for it to be repaired..

Must agree. If you go to them direct the service is the best in this country. Do not go through the retailers (LSW), they give shocking service and then blame it on Avnic.

You are so dead right. Garmin will give backup but Cape Union Mart just takes their money and runs!!!!! No after sales service unless you can produce your invoice. They claim that they are being abused by customers who purchased Garmin from other places. I will NOT make use of Cape Union Mart again and will report the incident on www.hellopeter.com

AVNIC's service is top notch for sure.

 

My Edge 305 is foobared and they offered to upgrade to Edge 705 for an awesome deal.

 

 

 

It just concerns me that there are so many of the same problems with these units..
