I am not a mountain biker but am looking at maybe investing in one....i have heard and read that the 29er is a nice ride but i have also noticed that none of the pros use them(could be wrong though) Why then is it such a great buy?

Not many Euro Pros on them yet but they are big on the US Pro circuit, Gary Fisher and Kona have had wins this year on the NORBA circuit in the US.

Didn't armstrong win a race recently on a 29er?

I think the guy who came 4th was on a rigid single speed 29er

there is some movement among the pros to use them. titusti will be along any minute to tell you all about the bonuses of a 29er.

Cool, thanks.  Wink  I speak under correction but i am sure a couple of years back at the crater cruize Anke Erlank won the race on one....i recall someone commenting on it that day?

You have to be tall enough to ride one' date=' especially with suspension. Anything under 5ft8 and they say it gets too big.
