  1. If you got his address go pay him a visit with the police!!!
  2. Have you been refunded yet? Seems to me you are buying into his BS stories once again
  3. I agree, he obviously doesn't have the money and playing for time. Con artist of note and clearly gives zero .....s!!!
  4. I agree the time frame is unacceptable and why does the refund have to take take a full day? In this day and age, to do an EFT is all of a minute or two. Pay the money or give him the bike!!!
  5. GSG!!!! We have used them for the past 8 years and dealing with Stefano is an absolute pleasure. Personally i would look no further
  6. Hope the corrugations on first 80km are not as bad as it was 2 years back. I believe last year they graded the road prior to the event? hope its the same for this Saturday.
  7. Pardon my ignorance but i have no idea what this "spin down" is you are talking about? Why do you need to do this and how do you do this? I use the Wahoo fitness app on my iphone and don't see any "spin down" function?
  8. Hi Mylolylo, I will gladly add the mount for you, i am just waiting on Canyon to get back to me on the handlebar width measurement on the L frame. It states it comes with a 410 width bar, they won't change it so just want them to confirm if it is measured from center 2 center, outer 2 outer or inner 2 inner. I am thinking that are on the narrow side for me.
  9. Hi Sias, I take it this was for a complete bike? Am i correct in saying that a frame set only, has no duties, so is is just the 15% VAT that you will pay this side?
  10. I suffer from asthma and sinus/hay-feaver. I have for past 2 years been using Singular and Deselex every day and have found this has helped me big time. I don't get sick anymore and find this to keep things in check. I also always have Celestamine on hand, if the pollen count is high or mountain bike route is seriously dry and dusty, i will use the Celestamine. I also use the Celestamine with Miprodol before bed when i have been drinking red wine
  11. I have raced against Chad and had a few drinks with him after DC last year and found him to be a most pleasant and humble person. He raced 30-39 the last 2 years and only moved up to 40-49 this year. He was always one of the main contenders in the races and loved getting into breaks, normally making them stick to avoid bunch sprints. Two of my team mates loved racing with him as he never missed a turn on the front, was determined to drive the breaks and was the first to congratulate you if you beat him. I obviously don't know all that went on with him but he was/is dedicated to his training and always watching his diet, so he put in the hard work to achieve the results. I honestly don't believe he needed "assistance" and now unfortunately for him, his results and pedigree on the bike will always be questioned. He was perhaps looking for that "edge" and now has to pay the price for it.
  12. A couple years ago when my wife and I were trying for kids, I seemed to have a problem and the urologist prescribed Proviron. I took this for 2/3 months. I was racing in licensed vets at the time. If I was tested, would have received my 2 year ban. I have never won a vets race and to be honest just enjoy finishing with the main bunch. From what I understand this stays in your system for months if not a year after taking it. So at Carnival my name gets pulled and I'm caught out. I would not care if I was bust as having kids was far more important to me then racing. Testing random vets in my opinion is a waste of time. I have to agree with Wyat ans Spinnekop
  13. What does an entry for this event cost?
  14. My saddle height from centre of BB to top of saddle is 78,5 and with a 400mm seat post i am short of 1,5cm. Not sure what yours is but you can work on that. I am 183cm tall
  15. I have a new FM056, in a size 17,5" that is too small for me. If anyone is interested in perhaps swapping for a size up or to purchase, let me know. I finally have all the parts to build the bike and realised with a 400mm seatpost i will be 1,5 centimeter over the max limit on post. I am not keen on trying my luck and hence wanting the bigger frame. This particular frame was purchased from Hong-fu bikes
  16. I used to have the same problem with sunscreen getting into my eyes. I also play lots of golf and water skiing, having fair skin i need the best protection. The product used to be called Ironman 8 hour and was designed as it name says, for the iron man athletes that are out in the sun all day. I have been using it for 6 years now and have never been sun burnt, my kids use the same product daily before school and have converted most my friends. Here is the link if you are interested http://www.solrxsa.co.za/onlineshop/index.html
  17. That was my team mate that went down. The guy in front of him crossed his line and took his front wheel out. He suffered a clean break of his collarbone, had a plate and pins put in yesterday.
  18. He is not a selector and only views blood profiles, etc for drug free sport
  19. I think Seyfert is going to Bonitas, Rabie to Tasol, Maartens probably back to vets racing.
  20. Tyler Day has left Bonitas and off to Westvaal/BMC
  21. I have 2 kids and have always cycled. I went t see 2 Urologists, one olds doc whom my old man has been seing for years and a younger doc. The older urologist did ask me to stop cycling, hence me off to see the younger one. It was not so much the cycling that was the problem but rather the wearing of lycra and he heat build up of the testes, that he said was he problem. He also gave me Proviron to take. The younger doc said cycling was not a problem and was of the opinion that the "old school" doctors generally thought cycling to be bad for fertility. He said i should take Stamina Grow pills and should be fine. I decided to take both medication and continue to cycle. Wife fell pregnant in 2 months I will also say that i was tested, most men for whatever reason often refuse, but think it is woth you while to be checked ou to. The woman often get the blame when things don't happen but can tell you that my brother in-law always blamed his wife and he is the one with the problem. I have heard many such cases and your wifes gynae can confirm this. Good luck but personally i think you can continue to cycle.....the problem is if your wife is going to be happy with this
  22. Oh man that is not good news. I suppose he could not exactly tell me there has been no interest and not to waste my time doing it.... Hopefully they will extend the entry deadline and perhaps to evenconsider combining all the vets to make one group. Dissappointing as we don't have much in the form of racing and this would have been nice. Lets hope the numbers pick up considerably
  23. I have not seen much advertising on this event and haven spoken to Nick Bester he tells there has been lots of interest amongst the vets for this tour. Are there any vets here that are considering doing this tour? With the 4 road stages and 1 TT it makes for great racing.
  24. TNT he is no relation of Alan. The family that you might know of are his two cousins Tyler and Dusty Day.
