Trek Pilot 5.2

Anybody ride one of these? I want to get my wife a new carbon bike about R15000.00 and can get a brand new trek pilot wsd with ultegra for about this price.

 

Any good/bad/ugly?

 

She did a 2.59 on 94.7 on her trek steel.

 

Any comments?

Jeez, that is a good time. You shouldn't be buying her a Pilot with times like that, but rather something with a better race geometry, like a Madone.

 

The Pilot is a much more relaxed, upright position, more for comfort than speed.

 

Having said that, R15000 is a damn good price for full carbon and Ultegra.

Problem, is for the madone you can add on another R15000 for those specs. I'm hoping that we can drop the handle bars slightly to make it slightly more aggressive. Price is actually R17000.00
