Interesting mountings. What have you used for option A? Looks like a tripod head but what have you used to attach it to the bars?

It's a Manfrotto clamp. Will check tonight and post the model number and details in the morning if you want. It's brilliant. Only down side is it weighs quite a bit, but it's as sturdy as hell.

Will post some better pics as well.

About Oak Valley' date='can you just pitch up and ride or do have to book? How much and how many routes and how long? [/quote']

Stringbean, you just pitch up, sign in and drop your money into the box, take your slip and off you ride. Its based on an honesty system. They have great showers too.

Some days there is a security card at the gate where you enter. I paid there. It's real easy to find the place and there are three routes with a bit of black right at the end.

Red

Green

Blue

Bit of black.

I did the red route. Very scenic and was super chill. Bumped into couple of other riders who were friendly and seemed just as chill. Route is marked clearly and is well laid out. There are only two gates you have to open on the red route, but it doesn't disrupt flow or momemtum. By the time you get to them you are so chilled getting off to open a gate seems perfectly natural.

I bought the clamp at Orms Photo Lab in Roeland Str. They are the only guys I know who carry funny stuff like that. Staff was friendly and helpful even though the shop was PACKED on Sat and I had a million questions. I will get round to Jonkers between tom and Mon. Will post my Chritsmas weekend rides on Mon.

Here's the link for the Manfrotto clamp. I have the super clamp.

Like I said it's a bit heavy, but cause it sits virtually on the steerer it doesn't affect steering that much. Will see this weekend what happens with the bigger cam.
