Hi guys

My forks are forked... seem's like they are locked out when you are riding, but if you give a good shove, they do move.

I suspect they need a service. I can get a kit from the UK for 17 quid from http://www.tftunedshox.com/rockshox-parts/

Has anyone service their own shocks before? There seem to be manuals out there, and I'm sure that with a bit of care and attention it can't be too hard?

I have downloaded the manual for my Rockshox and it is quite comprehensive, however they are expensive items (the fork) so be cautious. I'm almost at the point where mine is due for a service, haven't yet decided if I will be doing it or if I will be "forking" out the cash to have it done.

Hmm - gave them a call and they say that I need a service kit, a motion control kit and a wipers kit = 12 + 17+ 25 quid!!

Might just be cheaper to have them serviced here.  Only problem is it takes 2 weeks and I'm trying to get fit for Sani2C...

The lead time on service is what worries me, however there are some shops that do in house services, perhaps phone around to see if you can find such a shop. I wouldn't be able to wait 2 weeks.
