Disc brake adaptor help!!!

I just got a new Rock Shox Sid Race 09 model (post Mount) and have got the 08 edition XTR disc Brakes (IS)

 

I've tried the kcnc post mount bracket but it does not fit

 

any suggestions???

i have the appropriate adaptor. the problem is that you need to use a 170mm disk(assuming that u r currently running 160mm rotors).If you are using a 6bolt hub i can help with the 170mm rotor.pm me a contact number and i will assist.

 happy to send you the adaptor anyway to see if it works. if not you can just return it. i am in cape town.

 

when you say it doesn't fit, what specifically do you mean?

Post to IS has been brought up before. You will have to increase the rotor size by 20mm to make the adapter fit. Magura and A2Z makes them.

Check out this chart  (link below). It has all the info you need. Then call up Cool heat, or your local bike shop, and ask if they have the one you need. The adaptor you need is part number SM-MA-F180S/P. I got one at Mikes Bikes for R85.

 

And like parra says you will have to increase your rotor size to 180mm (SM-RT97M)
