I need some advise or direction here. I ride a 29 er dual suspension bike. Currently I ride Hope Pro II hubs with DT Swiss rims and GEAX Seguaro tires. It is a tubeless conversion. Problem is that they tend to lose air whenever the back wheel slides sideways. e.g. into a ditch. I have tried different tires and different pressures with no luck. It happened again yesterday at NF. I could not get the tire to seal prperly after that and eventually put in a tube, which started to leak toward the end of the first 40km. Needless to say I had to quit the race at the end of lap 1 as I had no more tubes. (another question. what will happen if I use a 26 tube in an emergency?)

What is the sollution? Is it the rim?

Any advise please.

I think that tyre pressures are pretty critical when running tubeless so it may be that. A 26 inch tube works fine - just give it a bit of a stretch when fitting.

you using TK7.1 rims? they are know for their loose tyre fit and cause 'burps' quite easy with lower pressures, esp. when there's sideways forces. i'm managing to avoid it myself with Spec tyres and higher pressures (still low enough to give comfort and control tho.)

26' tubes work no problem.

Yes those are the rims. Now that you mention it the tyre does fit ont the rim very easily. It is usually quite a mission to make the tire seat. What pressure do you run?
