The new Ultra Torque BB is notorious for clicking. Not all BB shells are the exact same width, and the BB has a wavy washer that is meant to compensate for this. Sometimes its not enough though.

Even though I'm a Campy fan, i don't think that Ultra Torque is the best design.

I have a friend who's back wheel clicks - it drives us nuts.  He eventually figured out that the spokes wore each other down and when he put some power down, the wheel "moves", pushing the spokes out of place, causing them to click.

If it?s a regular click that only happens when pedaling I would suspect the BB, as JB mentioned earlier sometimes the bearing cups start clicking and the only way to stop this is to remove, clean and lubricate the threads, or to apply thread tape to the threads. I used to have a Campy chorus crank set that did this, but I?m ok now?.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Also have had a similar click issue with spokes on the back wheel which was eventually solved by increasing the tension of all the spokes.

What pedals do you have on your bike i found that replacing the plastic insert on my Shimano SPDs stopped the clicking sound that i was getting which i also thought was the BB

I have KEO carbon pedals,, we changed the pedals on saturday ( put some of these cheap pedals on the bike, like those ones you get of a GAME bike, and the click was still there!??

we checked all this, didnt reaply the thread tape though??

but everything i cleaned out and greased,,

will check the bottle cages but dont think it will be the problem cause the sound is only there when I pedal and gets louder the harder I pedal.

and it seems to happen on both left and right pedal strokes!!??

thanks for all the replies!
