This equates to R 1 800 per night per rider (dinner, bed and race and some refreshments along the way). Big deal about the "refuel zone" where one can eat like crazy.I really think that the Epic has made this race too expensive and beyond the reach of the average Sout African. I am very sorry that at this inflated price I will have to be happy with my one medal. What is $2 500 or even GBP 1 775 for the overseas riders??? I really think Kevin and his team are going to lose this fantastic event due to money. How do all the other stage events get away with their cheaper costs?? Time to investigate it Mr Vermaak.

Even though the issue may have been discussed before, it is important to put pressure on the Epic Management to think about us as South Africans and the rediculous costs
