A topic that raises it head every year at this time. According to http://www.accuweather.com/world-forecast3.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&locCode=AFR|ZA|SF011|CAPE%20TOWN&metric=1 that uses a computer generated weather model and can only predict fifteen days in advance the weather for Thursday before ARGUS could be the following.....

Mar 5

Partial sunshine. Winds from the SE at 33 km/h.

Realfeel?: 24 ?C

The days prior to that are not much better wind wise.

Big H I wouldnt  rely on Accu weather. On my new stupid touch phone it has the accu weather web site to update the weather in ur city or one ur going to. But I asked for cape Town. Got a report which was overcast and cold. Which it was not infact the opposite. Put my glasses on and it said Cape Town (O TVL /E TVL). Is there a cape town in eastern Tvl??...............Confused

Jip.. Theres No one but God Himself that knows what the wind does in CT. I tell you If the weather report sais 30, Its often 45km/h.

But also Its not always created by frontal activity like most other winds.. Its a very Intense little settup we have with the Sea on one side being warmer than the other side and the warm land inbetween.

So sometimes It blows out in a day or two, but often It does go with frontal activity passing by south of the continent and thats when she gets nasty..

Ive been staying in CT city bowl for 10 years.. and Ive surfed all that time (we are mos Into the wind and stuff) and I still battle predicting it..

All I do know Is that after this little rain we are having now, She will get angry again as the end of the cold front klapps us..Its probably going to be Pomping by monday..

One of my subjects was Hydrologu and we touched on the subject of Metereology. Mankind will never be able to accurately predict weather. There is just to many variables for a specific location and average weather forecasting will always be the norm. If it is exactly what they predicted at your place you are just lucky. Accuweather is a computer generated model. In the road building industry you have to plan certain activities far ahead. When you work in faroff places a system like Accuweather is an enormous benefit. I have always found them accurate enough for our purposes.
