The fact of the matter is that you bought the bike at the price. If you were not happy or unsure, you should have done the research first. Willing buyer: willing seller.

Personally I would not have paid so much for that one, but I did pay R4500 for a 96(?) Tommasini in steel with a 2000 DA groupset three years ago. So go figure! Confused

Value is in the eye of the beholder to mangle a homily.

MO , I know where you bought the bike , and what you bought is a bike and a service. You have got a good deal and great backup service from the store.

Good luck , but you need to ride it to enjoy it.

p.s to do a complete fit on its own is a few bucks !!

I stand by what I said, you got a good bike for a good price.

The frame in the picture is a 2007 model. That alone would sell for R1000 on the second hand market (maybe more).

A pair of those Bontrager wheels were sold recently on the Hub for approx R2000.

Add at least R1500.00 for a 9sp Ultregra g/set and we are already exceeding your price of R4000.00.

I have seen plenty of 105 9sp Raleighs selling for R4500. Tiagra specced Raleighs go for R3500.00 there abouts
