So, given that it's looking more and more like it's going to be windy, what are your opinions on using deep section wheels like Zipp 404s?

Headwinds are fine, but what are the crosswinds like? I haven't been in CT, in the wind, since 1995 so I really have no idea what is like. Is it steady, gusty, nighmarish (understanding that we don't really know what wind is here in JHB)?

What do you think? Bring the 404s along or leave them at home?

according to windguru the wind is not going to be that strong on sunday.

it looks like its going to be perfect and balmy.

13 knots of south-easterly wind.

this is not very strong at all and normally quite constant.

still strong enough though to make you work very hard in front Dead

hey the ant

my advise is: go as hard as you can for the first half of the ride and really push yourelf into the group. The second half is flat and easy with a tail wind the whole way

Now that must be the very worst advice I've ever heard.

Its much better riding early in the morning. But yeah this is Cape Town its basically bl@@dy windy 90% of the time. You get used to it. Except for today as its scorching outside right now, and the only wind is the fan blowing in my office Thumbs%20Up
