Anny one got one, ? cause It seems this is the most economical choice as you dont need sensors for two bikes It links to the PC, one can download your maps etc.. I can run with it and dont need a foot pod (got GPS) And same with swim. Its waterproof for the Triathelon

Any reason why I shouldnt get it. I wanna go buy it now now so I can get used to it.

I've done close to 3,000Km (since Dec-08) on three different bikes with it and plan to do thousands more.

sounds good so far.  Frosty what kind of battery life do you get? I meen If I decide on doing a 24 hour race(again) will it last?

Works well for biking and running, forget about swimming with it. I've tried a few sea swims with it but it did not work.

Still worth purchasing one though.

I get about 10 hours.

If you're doing the 24-hr race solo then it won't last. But if you're on a 3-4 man team it should last the whole race.

It comes with a docking station that connects to USB, so you can plug it into a 12V USB charger (for the iPods).

To much drag?

I guess Im going to have to bite the bullet. The battery life grates me though.Guess its the GPS receiver.

I guess it defeats the purposes of having a GPS enabled computer, but the Forerunner (and other units) are speed sensor/cadence/foot pod compatible. Meaning you can run the computer without the GPS sensor, and therefore saving the battery life.

But hey, I don't plan on riding for longer than 10 hours, and if oneday someone twists my arm and I decide to do so, then I'll use my Polar for speed/time.
